Hub Assistant Expanded Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Hub Assistant uses, why it is needed, where it is stored and how you can control it. This policy describes the prepared 1.9.38 update for Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome. Store availability depends on the publisher’s submission and each Store’s review.

1. Purpose and scope — Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome
Hub Assistant is a teacher-facing browser extension for Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome. It provides contextual guidance on supported VAS PowerSchool and MyPowerHub pages. It offers bilingual guidance, readable names, grade-progress checks, parent-greeting suggestions and local work reminders. A.I MY develops it independently. It is not an official PowerSchool, Google or Microsoft product.
It is for teachers and authorized school staff, not a service directed to children. School access permissions still apply.
2. Information used locally
The extension processes relevant supported-page information in the browser: displayed student, guardian and staff names; roles and relationships; class and reporting-term labels; page URLs; buttons, dialogs and workflow state. Messages and Newsfeed content can be processed when needed to identify the current guidance step or recipient. This is access to website content even when it is not sent to A.I MY.
Language, display mode, selected teacher role, walkthrough progress and completion records are used to personalize guidance. Teacher-entered deadline titles, dates, optional times and publication dates are used for local reminders.
Grade Entry guidance observes interface state and teacher actions. The automatic Filter/Summary feature reads page, class and term context in memory and opens those display panels once per context. It does not read grade values, select a student or column, use Fill, or press Save. The passive before-Save checklist observes editing events without reading or storing entered scores.
Grade Progress separately reads student names and identifiers, class and reporting term, column labels, scores and comment text. It checks which entries are present across grade, calculated and comment columns. It shows completion counts and, for partly completed columns, students with missing entries. These results are guidance, not a validation of grade accuracy or official completion.
When the supported gradebook is open, this check may use PowerSchool’s read query at /ws/xte/standard_grade_section. Although the query uses POST, it reads records; it does not save grades. The returned scores and comments are processed temporarily in memory. The popup receives completion counts, column information and missing-student names, rather than copies of each score or comment.
A saved calculated or overall score may still reflect older entries. Its presence does not prove that a later assessment period has been entered or recalculated. Grade Progress does not change scores, comments or gradebook calculations.
3. Name display and requests to PowerSchool
This build defaults to automatic name display. A teacher can select the original PowerSchool name display in the extension settings. Name assistance is optional and can be disabled in settings. It requires an authorized school account and does not bypass authentication.
When name assistance is active, the extension may request the current section roster from PowerSchool at /ws/xte/student. On supported SIS administrator pages, it may also read student demographic pages and student/contact relationship endpoints under /admin/students/generaldemographics.html and /ws/contacts/, subject to the signed-in account and verified page permissions. Responses may include information beyond the name fields; they are processed transiently to identify the relevant names and relationships.
These SIS requests use HTTPS and the existing school session. They go to the same PowerSchool site, not an A.I MY server. Names, identifiers, roster responses and name maps used for display remain in memory rather than an extension student database. Selecting original names stops requests used for SIS name conversion. Grade Progress and optional parent-greeting details have separate controls and can still use school information.
PowerHub parent greetings: the optional student-details setting uses verified account, organization and recipient identifiers. It may read a guardian’s linked students and a student’s name and class from PowerSchool Directory. The fixed HTTPS service is https://api.directory.mfe.powerschool.com/organizations/{organization}/persons/{person}. Requests use PowerHub’s existing signed-in session and request handling. They do not send the information to A.I MY.
Directory replies may contain extra profile or contact information. Examples include email addresses, telephone numbers, enrollment details and teacher names. These fields can be received temporarily. The greeting uses only the selected student name and class. They are processed temporarily to select the relevant student, relationship and class. Whole replies are not written to extension storage. If a guardian has several linked students, the teacher chooses one. The extension does not identify children by guessing from names.
The chosen name and class can appear in the “Dear parents/guardians of…” suggestion. Pressing Tab inserts it into the draft; the teacher reviews and sends the message. This build does not add a class badge beside every student name.
SIS roster replies may also include gender, enrollment information and student-alert fields. The full reply is received temporarily before the needed name fields are selected. Alert content is not used to format names or saved in extension preferences.
4. Local storage and retention
Hub Assistant asks for agreement before starting school-page assistance. Until you agree, assistance and Hub Assistant grade protection are inactive. PowerSchool controls remain available. The privacy notice opens in an extension tab on installation, or on an update when agreement is missing. It also appears before supported school-page assistance. Read the notice, tick the unchecked read-notice box, then choose Agree and enable assistance. The notice explains the information used and links to this policy.
Your privacy choice, notice version and choice time are stored locally under hubPrivacyConsentV1. This record contains no school-account or pupil identifier. Not now keeps assistance off. Closing the notice does not mean agreement. Open Privacy in the extension popup to withdraw agreement. Withdrawal stops assistance but preserves your saved settings, progress and deadlines.
A seasonal introduction reads the current teacher account identifier to create a local hash-based “already seen” marker. The stored marker helps avoid repeating the introduction. A hash is a pseudonymous identifier; it is not anonymous data. The marker remains until extension data is cleared.
Browser-profile storage holds language and display preferences, optional-support settings, teacher role and update time, walkthrough/resume progress, certificate completion/issuance flags and identifiers, animation opt-out preferences, and deadline entries and reminder-delivery state. These records may be reused if people share one browser profile. They are not verified school-account records.
The browser profile also stores the conversation-list width/collapse choice and the parent-greeting details switch. Directory results and child choices are held only in page memory. Results may be reused for up to five minutes, with at most 200 cached entries. They are cleared when the detected account/organization changes, agreement is withdrawn, the details switch is turned off, or the page is left. Expiry limits reuse; it is not a promise of physical deletion at an exact second.
The Skip reminder choice for missing entries uses temporary browser-session storage under hubGradeProgressSkippedV1. It stores hash-based records derived from class/term/group, columns, completion counts and missing-student names. It does not store readable names, individual scores or comment text. These hashes are not claimed to be anonymous. At most 50 skip records are kept; withdrawal clears them. Skipping a reminder does not mark work complete or alter school records.
Deadline data is stored locally under hubDeadlinesV1. It includes titles, dates, optional times/publication dates and reminder state. Delete entries in the deadline panel. Avoid putting student names or other sensitive information in reminder titles: desktop notifications can show the title on screen.
Some active guidance uses extension session storage. Grade Entry language switching also uses per-tab PowerSchool sessionStorage for temporary URL, class/term and guide/display state. The handoff accepts entries at most two minutes old and removes them when consumed or invalid; this is not a timed deletion guarantee.
In-memory page information lasts while needed for the active workflow. Local preferences and progress can remain until cleared through browser/extension controls or removal, subject to browser and school policy. Page-origin site storage must be cleared separately. Removing the extension does not delete downloaded files. Legacy nickname/profile keys are targeted for cleanup; the extension does not create a persistent student nickname or roster database.
Load sample saves seven bundled example reminders locally when the saved list is empty. These examples are not official school deadlines. Check your school’s dates and delete examples you do not need.
5. Certificate activity
Quiz answers, self-assessment responses and calculated results stay in activity-page memory and are cleared before certificate-name entry. The entered name is used locally to render a PNG, not written to the progress record or sent to A.I MY. A downloaded PNG contains the name and remains until the person or school deletes it.
6. Permissions and reminders
storage: stores the preferences, guide progress, deadlines and temporary reminder choices described above.alarms: checks local deadlines on a browser schedule.offscreen: plays the bundled reminder chime when sound is enabled. It does not record audio or use a microphone.- Optional
notifications: requested when a teacher enables desktop reminders. Titles and due-date information can appear in operating-system notifications.
Content scripts are limited to https://vas.educator.powerschool.com/* and https://vas.powerschool.com/*. The manifest also declares PowerHub host access. These permissions support guidance and display assistance on those sites, not unrelated browsing. No new host access is needed to open Filter or Summary.
The PowerSchool Directory service is a separate PowerSchool-hosted destination used through the signed-in PowerHub page. It is not another website where the extension injects assistance. Missing-entry reminders and student lists appear inside the extension popup, not desktop notifications. Desktop notifications remain for locally entered deadlines.
7. Sharing, security and limited use
The reviewed source does not send school content, names, roster data or local reminders to A.I MY, an analytics provider or an advertising service. It does not sell user data, use it for advertising or credit decisions, or use remote executable code. Data is used only for the disclosed teacher-assistance purpose. A.I MY commits to the Chrome Web Store Limited Use requirements for data handled by Hub Assistant.
Health information and financial/payment information are not collected by this release. Existing class and school labels support display; Hub Assistant does not track the device’s location.
The extension does not extract passwords, authentication cookies or tokens. PowerSchool requests rely on the existing authorized session. It does not silently extend the PowerSchool login session. School policy must address shared devices, account permissions and local browser data.
A teacher can open an optional Microsoft 365 Copilot link. Hub Assistant does not prefill or attach school content to it. The external site's own privacy terms apply after it is opened. Browser and operating-system services manage optional notifications; notifications may be visible to others near the device.
Restoring an existing PowerHub Like icon may reload its original Sendbird image. The extension adds no school-content payload to that request. Normal browser request metadata can reach that image provider. Outlook, Copilot and other shortcuts open only when selected; no school content is attached by the extension.
8. Teacher control and changes
The extension can assist intermediate display steps, including opening Filter and Summary. Teachers retain control of grade entry, Fill, Save, sending messages, creating groups and publishing posts. A teacher may close Filter or Summary again in the same class/term.
This policy and Store disclosures must be reviewed before a release changes permissions or data practices. Required notice and informed consent must be provided before the changed processing starts; publishing this page alone is not a substitute. This review does not certify Store approval or school deployment.
9. Website hosting and contact
This static policy website uses GitHub Pages without A.I MY analytics, advertising, scripts or forms. GitHub may log visitor IP addresses for security under its own privacy terms. That hosting processing is separate from the extension.

10. Data choices, deletion and support
Open the extension popup, then Advanced settings. Under Name display, choose Original PowerSchool names to stop SIS name conversion. Turn off Suggest student name and class in parent greetings to stop Directory lookups for that feature. These choices are independent. Turning Help & effects off stops optional guidance and effects. To stop all school-page assistance, open Privacy and withdraw agreement, or disable the extension in your browser.
In Deadlines, use Delete for individual entries. Under Notifications & chime, turn off desktop notifications, sound or automatic opening separately. Changing a preference does not erase saved deadlines or earlier progress.
To erase remaining browser-profile extension data, use browser administration or remove the extension, subject to managed-device rules. Clear PowerSchool site data separately to remove per-tab site storage. Downloaded certificates and copies/backups of the browser profile are separate. A.I MY cannot remotely retrieve or delete data that exists only in your browser.
Browser storage is local to the Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome profile. Hub Assistant does not add its own application-level encryption to this storage and does not claim it is protected from another person using the same profile. Follow your school's device-lock and profile-access rules.
If you email support, your email provider and the support mailbox provider process the address, message and any attachments you send. Send only a general description or sanitized example. Do not send credentials or real student records. Support correspondence is separate from extension storage; request access, correction or deletion through the contact below. No automatic deletion period is promised for support email.
A.I MY does not provide human access to school content through an extension backend. Any school information voluntarily supplied for support must be limited to the user's specific authorized request. User data must not be used for unrelated advertising, sale or human review outside the exceptions allowed by the Chrome Web Store Limited Use policy.

Danh sách lớp SIS có thể kèm giới tính, thông tin ghi danh và cảnh báo học sinh. Toàn bộ phản hồi được nhận tạm trước khi chọn trường tên cần dùng. Nội dung cảnh báo không dùng để sắp xếp tên hoặc ghi vào cài đặt đã lưu.
4. Lưu trữ và thời gian lưu
Hub Assistant hỏi đồng ý trước khi bật hỗ trợ trên trang trường. Khi chưa đồng ý, hỗ trợ và bảo vệ điểm của Hub Assistant chưa bật. Các nút của PowerSchool vẫn dùng được. Thông báo bảo mật tự mở trong tab tiện ích khi cài, hoặc khi cập nhật mà chưa có đồng ý. Thông báo cũng hiện trước khi hỗ trợ trang trường. Đọc thông báo, tích ô xác nhận chưa được chọn sẵn, rồi bấm Đồng ý và bật hỗ trợ. Thông báo nêu thông tin được dùng và có liên kết tới chính sách này.
Lựa chọn riêng tư, phiên bản thông báo và thời điểm lựa chọn được lưu tại hubPrivacyConsentV1 trên trình duyệt. Bản ghi không có mã tài khoản trường hoặc mã học sinh. Để sau giữ hỗ trợ ở trạng thái tắt. Đóng thông báo không có nghĩa là đồng ý. Mở Quyền riêng tư trong cửa sổ tiện ích để rút đồng ý. Việc này dừng hỗ trợ nhưng giữ cài đặt, tiến độ và lịch nhắc đã lưu.
Phần chào theo mùa đọc mã tài khoản giáo viên để tạo dấu đã xem bằng mã băm. Dấu này được lưu trên trình duyệt để tránh lặp lại lời chào. Mã băm vẫn gắn gián tiếp với tài khoản; đây không phải dữ liệu ẩn danh. Dấu còn lại cho đến khi dữ liệu tiện ích được xóa.
Hồ sơ trình duyệt lưu ngôn ngữ, chế độ tên, tùy chọn trợ giúp, vai trò giáo viên và thời điểm cập nhật. Nó cũng lưu tiến độ hướng dẫn, cờ/mã hoàn tất và cấp chứng nhận, tùy chọn tắt minh họa, lịch nhắc hạn và trạng thái đã nhắc. Người dùng chung hồ sơ trình duyệt có thể dùng lại các trạng thái này. Đây không phải hồ sơ riêng đã xác thực cho từng tài khoản trường.
Hồ sơ trình duyệt còn lưu chiều rộng, trạng thái thu gọn danh sách hội thoại và công tắc thông tin lời chào. Kết quả Directory và lựa chọn học sinh chỉ nằm trong bộ nhớ trang. Kết quả có thể được dùng lại tối đa năm phút, với tối đa 200 mục lưu tạm. Bộ nhớ này được xóa khi đổi tài khoản/tổ chức, rút đồng ý, tắt thông tin lời chào hoặc rời trang. Lựa chọn Bỏ qua thông báo về mục chưa nhập dùng bộ nhớ phiên trình duyệt tại hubGradeProgressSkippedV1. Bản ghi là mã băm từ lớp/kỳ/nhóm, các cột, số lượng hoàn thành và tên học sinh còn thiếu. Bản ghi không lưu tên đọc được, từng điểm hoặc nội dung nhận xét. Mã băm không được coi là dữ liệu ẩn danh. Tiện ích giữ tối đa 50 bản ghi bỏ qua và xóa chúng khi rút đồng ý. Bỏ qua thông báo không đánh dấu hoàn thành hay sửa dữ liệu trường.
Lịch nhắc lưu cục bộ tại hubDeadlinesV1, gồm tên việc, hạn, giờ/ngày công bố nếu có và trạng thái nhắc. Xóa từng việc trong bảng nhắc hạn. Tránh nhập tên học sinh hoặc thông tin nhạy cảm vào tên việc vì thông báo máy tính có thể hiện nội dung đó.
Một số hướng dẫn đang chạy dùng bộ nhớ phiên của tiện ích. Khi đổi ngôn ngữ Grade Entry, sessionStorage theo tab PowerSchool giữ tạm địa chỉ trang, lớp/kỳ và trạng thái hướng dẫn/hiển thị. Dữ liệu chuyển tiếp chỉ được chấp nhận khi không quá hai phút tuổi và được xóa khi dùng xong hoặc không hợp lệ. Đây không phải cam kết xóa đúng sau hai phút.
Dữ liệu trong bộ nhớ được giữ khi còn cần cho thao tác hiện tại. Tùy chọn và tiến độ có thể còn đến khi xóa dữ liệu tiện ích hoặc gỡ tiện ích, tùy trình duyệt và quy định trường. Dữ liệu website phải xóa riêng. Gỡ tiện ích không xóa tệp đã tải. Tiện ích dọn các khóa nickname/hồ sơ cũ và không tạo cơ sở dữ liệu tên phụ hoặc danh sách học sinh lâu dài.
Xem lịch mẫu lưu bảy việc mẫu trên thiết bị khi danh sách đang trống. Đây không phải hạn chính thức của trường. Kiểm tra lịch trường và xóa các ví dụ không cần dùng.
5. Bài ôn tập và chứng nhận
Đáp án, tự đánh giá và kết quả tính được chỉ nằm trong bộ nhớ trang ôn tập, được dọn trước bước nhập tên chứng nhận. Tên chỉ dùng để tạo ảnh PNG cục bộ, không ghi vào tiến độ hoặc gửi tới A.I MY. Ảnh tải xuống vẫn chứa tên cho tới khi người dùng hoặc trường xóa tệp.
6. Quyền trình duyệt và nhắc hạn

Mã hỗ trợ trang chỉ chạy tại https://vas.educator.powerschool.com/* và https://vas.powerschool.com/*. Tiện ích cũng khai báo quyền truy cập PowerHub. Các quyền phục vụ trợ giúp và hiển thị tại hai website này, không theo dõi trang khác. Mở Filter/Summary không cần thêm quyền website.
Dịch vụ PowerSchool Directory là một địa chỉ riêng của PowerSchool, được gọi qua trang PowerHub đã đăng nhập. Tiện ích không chèn hướng dẫn vào dịch vụ đó. Nhắc mục chưa nhập và danh sách học sinh hiện trong cửa sổ tiện ích, không hiện trên thông báo máy tính. Thông báo máy tính dùng cho lịch nhắc do giáo viên nhập.
7. Chia sẻ, bảo mật và giới hạn sử dụng
Mã đã đối chiếu không gửi nội dung trường, tên, danh sách lớp hoặc lịch nhắc tới A.I MY, dịch vụ phân tích hay quảng cáo. Tiện ích không bán dữ liệu, dùng dữ liệu cho quảng cáo hoặc quyết định tín dụng, hay chạy mã tải từ máy chủ ngoài. Dữ liệu chỉ phục vụ mục đích hỗ trợ giáo viên đã công bố. A.I MY cam kết tuân thủ yêu cầu Limited Use của Chrome Web Store đối với dữ liệu Hub Assistant xử lý.
Phiên bản này không thu thập thông tin y tế, tài chính hoặc thanh toán. Tên lớp và trường dùng cho hiển thị. Tiện ích không theo dõi vị trí thiết bị.
Tiện ích không trích xuất mật khẩu, cookie xác thực hoặc token. Yêu cầu PowerSchool dùng phiên đăng nhập được phép hiện có. Tiện ích không âm thầm kéo dài phiên đăng nhập. Trường cần quản lý thiết bị dùng chung, quyền tài khoản và dữ liệu trình duyệt.
Giáo viên có thể chủ động mở liên kết Microsoft 365 Copilot. Tiện ích không điền sẵn hay gửi kèm nội dung trường. Website ngoài áp dụng chính sách riêng sau khi được mở. Trình duyệt và hệ điều hành quản lý thông báo tùy chọn; người ở gần thiết bị có thể nhìn thấy thông báo.
Khi khôi phục biểu tượng Like, trình duyệt có thể tải lại ảnh gốc từ Sendbird. Tiện ích không gửi kèm nội dung trường trong yêu cầu ảnh. Nhà cung cấp ảnh có thể nhận thông tin kết nối thông thường. Outlook, Copilot và các liên kết khác chỉ mở khi bạn chọn; tiện ích không gửi kèm nội dung trường.
8. Quyền kiểm soát và thay đổi
Tiện ích có thể hỗ trợ bước hiển thị trung gian, gồm mở Filter và Summary. Giáo viên vẫn quyết định nhập điểm, Fill, Save, gửi tin, tạo nhóm và đăng bài. Có thể tự đóng Filter/Summary lại trong cùng lớp/kỳ.
Trước khi phát hành thay đổi quyền hoặc cách xử lý dữ liệu, cần cập nhật chính sách và khai báo Store. Phải cung cấp thông báo và lấy đồng ý cần thiết trước khi bắt đầu xử lý mới. Chỉ đăng trang này không thay thế việc đó. Rà soát này không xác nhận Store phê duyệt hoặc trường đã triển khai.
9. Website và liên hệ
Website chính sách dùng GitHub Pages, không có phân tích truy cập, quảng cáo, mã chạy hay biểu mẫu của A.I MY. GitHub có thể ghi địa chỉ IP vì bảo mật theo chính sách của họ. Việc này tách biệt với tiện ích.

10. Lựa chọn, xóa dữ liệu và hỗ trợ
Mở cửa sổ tiện ích, rồi vào Cài đặt nâng cao. Trong phần hiển thị tên, chọn Tên gốc PowerSchool để dừng đổi thứ tự tên trên SIS. Tắt Gợi ý tên học sinh và lớp trong lời chào phụ huynh để dừng đọc Directory cho tính năng đó. Hai lựa chọn này độc lập. Tắt Trợ giúp & hiệu ứng sẽ dừng hướng dẫn và hiệu ứng tùy chọn. Để dừng mọi hỗ trợ trên trang trường, mở Quyền riêng tư rồi rút đồng ý, hoặc tắt tiện ích trong trình duyệt.
Trong Hạn nộp, dùng Xóa để xóa từng việc. Tại Thông báo và chuông, có thể tắt riêng thông báo máy tính, chuông hoặc tự hiện. Đổi tùy chọn không xóa hạn đã lưu hoặc tiến độ trước đó.
Muốn xóa dữ liệu tiện ích còn lại trong hồ sơ trình duyệt, dùng chức năng quản trị hoặc gỡ tiện ích theo quy định thiết bị. Xóa dữ liệu website PowerSchool riêng để dọn bộ nhớ phiên của trang. Tệp chứng nhận đã tải và bản sao lưu hồ sơ trình duyệt phải được quản lý riêng. A.I MY không thể truy cập hoặc xóa từ xa dữ liệu chỉ có trong trình duyệt của bạn.
Dữ liệu cục bộ thuộc hồ sơ trình duyệt. Hub Assistant không thêm lớp mã hóa riêng cho dữ liệu này. Tiện ích không cam kết bảo vệ dữ liệu khỏi người dùng chung hồ sơ. Hãy tuân theo quy định trường về khóa máy và quyền truy cập hồ sơ.
Khi gửi email hỗ trợ, nhà cung cấp email và hộp thư hỗ trợ xử lý địa chỉ, nội dung và tệp bạn gửi. Chỉ gửi mô tả chung hoặc ví dụ đã che thông tin. Không gửi mật khẩu hay hồ sơ học sinh thật. Thư hỗ trợ tách biệt với dữ liệu tiện ích. Có thể yêu cầu truy cập, sửa hoặc xóa thư qua địa chỉ liên hệ bên dưới. Không cam kết thời hạn tự xóa thư hỗ trợ.
A.I MY không cung cấp quyền đọc nội dung trường qua máy chủ của tiện ích. Thông tin tự gửi để nhờ hỗ trợ phải giới hạn trong yêu cầu được người dùng cho phép. Không dùng dữ liệu cho quảng cáo, mua bán hoặc đọc bởi con người ngoài các ngoại lệ của Chrome Web Store Limited Use.
